Dates to remember

Hey there all!
I think I talked to most of you, but I want to remind you that this Sunday after Church I would like to have a quick meeting. I can't imagine it going more than 15 minutes (tho I can talk all day if you let me...) I'd like to talk about the direction that the youth group should be moving, and what your desires are. We need to discuss upcoming missions too. Also, I'll be co-opting future help!!! We have lots of stuff coming up.
For now, these are the dates I know...
This Sunday all the kids will be a part of the childrens message. We'll be discussing the retreats and teaching the congregation a song. After church the kids can amuse themselves in the youth room while we talk. (I invited the congregation to join us if they are interested.)
Tues, Nov 28--Normal Sr Youth. There will be cherry jello for Jon.
Tues, Dec 5--Decorate the Sanctuary Christmas Tree. Please all consider yourself invited, and bring a snack if you are so inclined!
Fri and Sat, Dec 8 @ 9--Days of Joy. I work and am completely unavailable to help. The youth are supposed to be available for gift wrapping as community service. If you could divide up the times and keep them focussed that would be great!
Sun, Dec 10--Jessica is having her baby baptized during church. The Sr Youth will host her reception and cake after service. Mostly we just need to be available to cut cake, clean up plates and make nice.
Tues, Dec 12--Our other December community service project is babysitting for parents who need "A Night". I'll be at the church from 5 to 9, and we are signed up to actually babysit from 5:30 to 8:30. Dawn, the girls would be welcome helpers! Also, it would be nice to have some help with snacks for our little charges. I'll know Sun the 10th how many kiddos to expect.
Fri, Dec 15th--Not a youth activity but something we have been invited to is assembling food boxes and then caroling afterwards. I hear there will be pizza! I intend to be there and would love some young company! (And it's kind of an ala carte event. Come for all of it, or parts. You will be made welcome!)
Sun, Dec 17th--Christmas pageant during church. I hear we have a great "God"...
Mon, Dec 18th--Nativity NIght with a Youth focus. I'll be there for both sessions, and some parental support making hot cocoa (or in the nativity!) etc would be great! Dawn, again the girls are very welcome to join us here.
No Sr Youth Tues 19th because of Mon the 18th. Also, on third Tuesdays I can't make it anyway! (Do I hear volunteers for 3rd Tuesdays??? Or are the kids feeling busy enough? Something we can discuss this Sunday!!!)
No Sr Youth Tues the 26th. I'm guessing that lots of you will be out of town or busy.
I know this looks like a crazy busy schedule, but in reality more than half of it falls on normally scheduled church or youth times. The rest of it is either optional or just bumped a day.
That's what I know for now! And I would have all of you know that I feel blessed to be in the lives of your kids. It is hard to remember in the hustle and bustle of our busy lives just what special kids you are all raising. They bring me joy. You are doing good jobs with them. Thank You for letting me be a part of their world.
